The Concert

A beautiful presentation of song, music, witness and teaching. Katrina sings and shares her life as a wife, a mother of five children and just a regular woman dealing with the normal challenges of life. Like most people, Katrina had to struggle with her faith until Christ was the center of her life. Prayer, scripture reading and the sacraments were absolute necessities to finding that relationship with God. But even with Christ as her Lord and Savior she still experienced many challenges to her faith because of the damage done by life in the past. She was unable to feel the love of Christ in her heart and she was unable to find the peace promised in His Word. Katrina needed God’s healing for all of life’s hurts. But it wasn’t as simple as just asking God to drag all the garbage and pain off to some dump. She had to offer it to Him as a gift and trust in His Divine Love and Mercy. Once Katrina gave all the hurts and suffering of life to God and allowed His healing to wash over her, even the worst events in life (such as the death of her seventeen year old son) could not take her back to that dark heart that had once carried so much pain. She was healed and she could feel God’s love and support even in the worst of times. When Katrina shares her songs and witness, it helps the audience evaluate their own relationship with God. Because Katrina is a peer with all the same challenges in life, the audience can connect their lives to hers and see where they also can improve their faith walk. As Katrina shares from her life, the audience identifies with the ups and downs, joys and sorrows of life that Katrina shares. Katrina helps them see how these might be hindering their relationship with God and helps them realize that they can reach out for the same healing she received. Then Katrina teaches them how to open up to God and receive His healing. Finally, Katrina shares the story of her call to ministry and the struggle she faced with accepting that call. After sharing her story she tells the audience that they are no different than she.... no matter how old or young, each of them also have gifts to share for the greater glory of God. Katrina encourages and invites them to become disciples of Christ and use their God-given gifts to honor and glorify God in the church and in the community. Katrina’s witness effects the audience very deeply. Many in the audience experience emotional healing for pains they have carried for years. Most people experience a renewal in faith. Concerts are presented in a very professional manner using contemporary Christian songs to augment the theme of discussion. Recorded music tracks are used for accompaniment. A slide presentation and special lighting enhance the talks and songs. All the equipment needed for the concert is provided by the ministry. People of all ages will enjoy and be ministered to through this wonderfully spiritual and artistic presentation. The concert lasts about two hours and is for the entire family. The program is best delivered in the main worship center but it can be presented in an auditorium or social hall.

Key Note Topics
1) Emotional Healing: Confused by secular input, we look in all the wrong places for the love we crave. Searching for love and fulfillment through earthly relationships and material goods leaves us with pain, rejection, sorrow and shame. Even after centering our lives on Jesus our emotional scars can prevent us from feeling that which we need most... the perfect love of Jesus. Sharing her personal story of being a “Silent Weeper” and her desperate turn to God for healing, Katrina teaches others how to receive emotional healing.

2)
Evangelism: It’s not just the minister, priest, religious or person sitting next to you who is called to evangelize! Sharing her story of being a country singer on tract to a record deal, how God called her to sing for Him, how she struggled and resisted and how she finally said yes for all the wrong reasons.... Katrina teaches that God can take what we offer and use it to reach His flock. The bottom line: We are all called to evangelize and God will give us what we need to do it. Her audience will be inspired to say, Yes, Lord, here I am!” in their lives.

3)
Family and Marriage: Sharing some of the struggle and triumphs of her life as wife and mother of five children and drawing from a wealth of experiences gained from over 30 years of marriage and child rearing (three natural and two special needs adopted children) Katrina teaches the importance of a family walk in Christ and gives sound suggestions which will help keep the family centered on Christ. Katrina teaches ways that parents can interject family prayer and Christian teaching into the daily routine. She also teaches the value of prayer in a “Circle of Two” to strengthen the marriage.

4)
Respect Life: Sharing her touching story of her adopted son’s life... his teen mother’s attempt to hide the pregnancy, the interrupted and stopped abortion, his amazing adoption, the struggle with his autism, his accidental death at seventeen, and his lasting impact on this family and community, ... Katrina helps everyone see how precious and important each and every life is to the well being of all of us. After hearing her speak, no one can doubt that every second of life is a part of God’s overall plan and all life must be protected.
