Concert On Evangelization

A beautiful presentation of song, music, witness and teaching.  Katrina sings and shares from her life as a wife, a mother of five children and just a regular woman dealing with the normal challenges of life.  The concert addresses three main themes:

1) Our need to pray and have a personal relationship with God.
2) Our need to let Jesus heal us of life's pain.
3) Everyone of us are called to serve God and to use our gifts to His Glory.

Besides these three main themes the concert has a segment dedicated to marriage and another segment dedicated to children.  People of all ages will enjoy and be ministered to through this wonderfully spiritual and artistic presentation.

The concert is presented in a very professional manner using contemporary Christian songs to augment the theme of discussion.  Recorded music tracks are used for accompaniment.  A slide presentation and special lighting enhance the talks and songs.  All the equipment needed for the concert is provided by the ministry.  The concert lasts about two hours and is for the entire family.  The concert is best delivered in the main worship center.

Day of Retreat Day of Retreat

An uplifting day of step by step examination that helps the attendees identify the different areas of their lives where they need to deepen their commitment to Christ and reconcile themselves with God. Guaranteed to keep the participants involved throughout the entire experience.

Sessions One through Five: (Take place in the Social Hall)
John or Katrina open each session with a scripture reading then a sharing from their own life that relates to the reading.  The attendees (who have handout sheets to guide them along and who are seated in small groups of 5-8 persons to a table) are then invited to discuss as a group the questions on the sheets.  After the discussion period there is a short prayer and time for an examination of conscience in relation to the topic.  Katrina sings one meditational song at the end of each session.  These sessions encompass five themes:

1)  Physical:  Is God’s love filtered through our physical limitations?
2)  Relationships: Do our relationships increase or decrease our Christian walk?
3)  Emotions:  Do we use our emotions in a Christ like way?
4)  Faith:  Are we growing in our faith or just wandering through?
5)  Commitment:   How do we give our time and talent to God as a part of our commitment to faith?

Attendees hear each other's walk and grow through faith sharing as well as get to know each other.

Session Six:  Journey to the Cross: (Begins in Social Hall and Ends in Church)
The session begins with Katrina speaking about the choice Jesus made to give his life for our salvation, then there is a 40 minute meditation on the Passion of Jesus.  At the end of the meditation all attendees silently process from the social hall to the main sanctuary for another guided meditation and silent contemplation on where they stand in their faith walk.  There is time for each person to kneel before the cross.  This session and the retreat ends with a blessing for each attendee given by the priest(s) and/or deacon(s).

This retreat is very spiritually rewarding.  Attendees love it since it is interactive and not a "sit and listen" type experience.

Four Night Mission Four Night Mission

This mission is probably different than any mission you have experienced before.  It is a very spiritual journey.  Below is a description.

Day One:  Concert on Evangelization (See above)

Day Two and Day Three:   Are comprised of Sessions One through Five of the Retreat (See above)

Day Four:  Is Session Six of the Retreat (See above)

Please feel free to call other pastors who have had this mission for their parish (see web site "Credits").  You will find they all felt the mission not only increased spiritual growth, it also deepened relationships within the parish.

Three Night Mission
Sometimes a parish does not have time or the need for a four night mission.   By omitting the concert we are able to offer a three night mission.

Day One and Day Two:   Are comprised of Sessions One through Five of the Retreat (See above)
Day Three:  Is comprised of Session Six of the Retreat (See above)

Again, please feel free to call other pastors who have had this mission for their parish (see web site "Credits").  You will find they all felt the mission not only increased spiritual growth, it also deepened relationships within the parish.

Keynote Topics
1) Emotional Healing:
Confused by secular input, we look in all the wrong places for the love we crave. Searching for love and fulfillment through earthly relationships and material goods leaves us with pain, rejection, sorrow and shame. Even after centering our lives on Jesus our emotional scars can prevent us from feeling that which we need most... the perfect love of Jesus. Sharing her personal story of being a “Silent Weeper” and her desperate turn to God for healing, Katrina teaches others how to receive emotional healing.

2)
Evangelism:
It’s not just the minister, priest, religious or person sitting next to you who is called to evangelize! Sharing her story of being a country singer on tract to a record deal, how God called her to sing for Him, how she struggled and resisted and how she finally said yes for all the wrong reasons.... Katrina teaches that God can take what we offer and use it to reach His flock. The bottom line: We are all called to evangelize and God will give us what we need to do it. Her audience will be inspired to say, Yes, Lord, here I am!” in their lives.

3)
Family and Marriage:
Sharing some of the struggle and triumphs of her life as wife and mother of five children and drawing from a wealth of experiences gained from over 30 years of marriage and child rearing (three natural and two special needs adopted children) Katrina teaches the importance of a family walk in Christ and gives sound suggestions which will help keep the family centered on Christ. Katrina teaches ways that parents can interject family prayer and Christian teaching into the daily routine. She also teaches the value of prayer in a “Circle of Two” to strengthen the marriage.

4)
Respect Life:
Sharing her touching story of her adopted son’s life... his teen mother’s attempt to hide the pregnancy, the interrupted and stopped abortion, his amazing adoption, the struggle with his autism, his accidental death at seventeen, and his lasting impact on this family and community, ... Katrina helps everyone see how precious and important each and every life is to the well being of all of us. After hearing her speak, no one can doubt that every second of life is a part of God’s overall plan and all life must be protected.
